Well, we are back to running season. It has been 7 months since I hit the trail but I knew it was coming. After several weeks of above season weather today the temperatures dropped, although it was nice and sunny. On top of this my allergies decided to kick in.

Due to these reasons I approached the day with some hesitation, worried that I would embarrass myself with my students. What a relief when I actually completed the 3.23 k run in under 25 minutes. I ended up in the middle of the pack, which I was pleased with being my first run.

What added to my run was finding this app for my BlackBerry, which used GPS to keep all my stats automatically. I enjoy finding useful technology that makes things easier in my life.

I am looking forward to the results of this running and cycling season. I have at least 20 lbs to drop after a very inactive winter.
