Just how important is it to respect parents and the elderly? Have we completely lost our understanding of God's desire in this area of respect?
Our greatest need is connection, to be known, to be seen. But most of us are not brave enough. We have too much to hide. Too much shame. Too much fear. But we have a Father who does see us. He knows us completely. Even our shame. And he chose to love us. He is faithful to it. He wants you to know it's safe to love him back. He forgives you. He completes you. He fills you with joy and wonder. He has given you purpose. That purpose is love. Here are a few scraps of thought so you can "see" me.

It is imoprtant that we respect our elders.
Respect is very important and it goes round about: kids must respect parents and parents respect kids
well, I like that you didn't pick on any one "category" and say that they don't have respect... :D ... what I don't like is when an adult knows that you have to give them respect, and is rude and mean to you, because they know you have to respect them either way... ggggrrrrr.......
We really should give our elders more respect.
Respect for your parents and elders is important, and lots of people (teens AND adults included) seem to have forgotten that.
is is realy sad that respect is not really part of our society anymore... there is less and less respect in younger generations.
Hi ya i think we dont respect are parents enough.
I think we should respect everyone.
I agree with ray... but sometimes it's hard respecting adults when you feel like they wronged you or w/e... but yeah, I think we should try to show more respect.
