Our greatest need is connection, to be known, to be seen. But most of us are not brave enough. We have too much to hide. Too much shame. Too much fear. But we have a Father who does see us. He knows us completely. Even our shame. And he chose to love us. He is faithful to it. He wants you to know it's safe to love him back. He forgives you. He completes you. He fills you with joy and wonder. He has given you purpose. That purpose is love. Here are a few scraps of thought so you can "see" me.
If they are fighting a lot (the brothers) isnt it what boys do.But I never knew that Abraham had another wife and more children.I trust God with Gym (death).
It is hard to trust God with our futures sometimes, especially when the present seems so bleak and so pointless that it makes us wonder if it could get any worse. Let alone get better. We all really need to trust God alot more often then we do now.
Sometimes we need to just let God fulfill his promises, and not try to fulfill his promises to us ourselves! That's what Sarah did... I'm not sure, but I get the feeling God likes to keep his promises to us... :) .... especially if it's a promises of blessing.... like having enough kids to start a nation in Abraham's case...
Correct me if im wrong but isn't the whole Bible based on obedience and how people were and were not obedient to God. I think it is, plus i think that we trust God he wil give us the obedience to.....well...be obedient
I've often wondered what life would be like in the middle east if Abraham had only one son. It could sound rather depressing, to be born a descendant of one of Abraham's other sons, until you realise that some very famous people in the Bible, such as Ruth, who was one of Jesus' ancestors, was also born of this line. I guess in the end, it's up to us - do we decide to follow God or not. No blaming the parents.
Two main thingh to God are love and obedience we all see that...I think that the best thing to do for our future is to give it to God...He made us he knows what is good for us and what is not , he will decide for me....

I meant that Sarah tried to fulfill the promise herself, if that wasn't clear... I don't think it was....

Sarah should have waited and trusted in God to fulfill His promises, instead of forcing God's hand.
It was clear for me Ray... but that doesn't mean anything. :P
wouldn't it be alot easier if they didn't try to think of God's promises so much, i mean it's gonna come when it's gonna come
I know you back is sow i live with you and yeah so how many sons does he have? because you said something about 12 sons and 12 something else?
Michael, Abraham's son Ishmael had twelve sons who became the heads of 12 tribes, just like Jacob.
